Description
A British World War II-era single-draw brass telescope manufactured by W. Ottway & Co. Ltd. of Ealing, London. The brass body is engraved with the manufacturer name, location, the date 1945, and serial number 8219. It also bears the military Broad Arrow mark and the designation PATT. 373B. The telescope features a heavily textured black grip and a brass draw tube with an engraved numerical focusing scale. The optical system includes an objective lens and an eyepiece.
Length: Approximately 11.5 inches (retracted).
Condition report:
The item is in good vintage condition. The brass surfaces show a developed patina, scratches, and minor abrasions commensurate with age and use. The textured grip exhibits surface wear and some loss to the finish. The optics are present but contain internal dust and visible surface wear. Works great!
