Description
This framed landscape print by artist Robert Bateman is titled The Awesome Land—American Elk. The composition depicts a winter vista with snow-covered mountain peaks, a frozen body of water, and a dense evergreen forest. Several elk are positioned within the snowy foreground and near the tree line. The print is housed in an ornate silver-toned frame with a textured linen mat and protective glass. A printed signature and date reading © Robert Bateman- 1980- is located in the lower left corner of the image. The reverse of the frame includes a gallery label from Howard/Mandville Gallery and an informational slip identifying the work.
31.5 inches by 45.5 inches.
Condition report:
The piece is in good overall condition. There are minor nicks to the edges of the silver-toned frame. The paper backing on the reverse shows small tears. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
