Description
This naturalist illustration, executed in watercolor and gouache on paper, depicts two Red-tailed hawks in a dynamic composition. One hawk is shown perched on a lichen-covered pine branch clutching a small rodent, while the second hawk is captured in mid-flight with its wings fully extended. The artwork is signed and dated Marler McGinnis 87 in the lower right quadrant. The composition is visually identical to the work titled Redtail Landing. The piece is mounted on a white mat.

Condition report:
The artwork is in good condition with no visible foxing or tears to the primary surface. The supporting mat and the reverse of the piece exhibit adhesive residue, tape remnants, and minor staining along the edges. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
