Description
This framed lithograph depicts a panoramic maritime view of Boston Harbor in a 19th-century style. The composition includes various historical vessels such as multi-masted sailing ships, gaff-rigged boats, and early steam-powered ships set against a sprawling city skyline. Figures in small rowboats are visible in the foreground. The work is mounted within a wide, linen-textured mat featuring an inset brass title plaque engraved with BOSTON. The piece is secured in a large, ornate silver-toned wood frame. The reverse side bears a gallery label for Howard/Mandville Gallery of Edmonds, Washington, and a handwritten sticker identifying the item as a Boston Lithograph.
