Description
This late 19th to early 20th-century garment is constructed from deep purple silk with a contrasting light blue silk lining. The exterior is decorated with silk and metallic thread embroidery. The design features large circular medallions containing phoenixes and human figures set against floral and cloud motifs, with additional floral sprays scattered across the body. The wide sleeve cuffs are composed of yellow silk and detailed with embroidery depicting waves and mythical creatures. The collar, front placket, and side vents are finished with multiple decorative borders containing auspicious symbols and floral patterns.

The robe is in good overall condition with creasing consistent with age and storage. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
