Description
A pair of framed and signed graphite pencil drawings by artist Doug Kinsley, depicting realistically rendered World War II-era fighter aircraft. One piece, dated 1991, illustrates a North American P-51D Mustang titled Doc Watson with serial number 472777. The second piece, dated 1996, depicts a Vought F4U Corsair featuring SUN SETTER nose art and the identification number 56. Both works are signed by the artist in the lower right corner and include printed aircraft designations and copyright symbols. The pieces are matted under glass and housed in dark-toned wooden frames featuring a rope-motif border. The reverse of each frame bears gallery labels from Howard/Mandville Gallery, with one frame noted as having Tru Vue conservation glass.
Each framed unit: 23 inches by 15.5 inches.
Condition report:
The items are in good condition. Minor scuffing and nicks are visible on the wooden frames. A tear is present in the paper backing of one frame. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
