Lot 16:
Description
This lot features two vintage inflatable marine vessels and a comprehensive suite of associated equipment. The primary vessel is a 1987 Avon Rover R.380 sport dinghy manufactured in Great Britain. It features a grey hull with yellow and red accents. Documentation for this vessel includes the original Washington State Vessel Title, registration documents, and a sales receipt from June 1987. The second vessel is a circa 1984 Sevylor inflatable boat, likely from the Caravelle series, featuring a yellow hull with blue decorative striping and branding.
Included with the boats is a set of varnished plywood floorboard sections equipped with aluminum reinforcing and joining rails. Additional equipment consists of a two-piece paddle with an aluminum shaft and white plastic blade, and an Oceanic brand pressure gauge instrument console with a rubberized hose and original owner’s guide. Also included is a small-horsepower outboard motor featuring a black cowling with horizontal red, orange, and yellow striping. The lot is accompanied by original ephemera, including the heavily worn shipping box for the Avon boat and a box for a British Seagull motor.
Avon HIN: WAZ9306G
Avon Registration: WN 4116 LK
Sevylor HIN: SEV90918M84C.
Condition report:
All inflatable components are sold deflated and in as-is condition. The vessels have not been tested for leaks, valve integrity, or general airworthiness. The Avon boat is stored in its original cardboard box, which shows significant wear, tearing, and age-related degradation. The Sevylor boat exhibits surface dirt and minor cosmetic scuffs consistent with long-term storage. The varnished floorboards show minor surface scratches but appear structurally sound. The outboard motor and Oceanic pressure gauge are untested and their mechanical or electronic operational status is unknown. Professional inspection is recommended before any attempt at marine use. *The estate told us that the boat was used no more than 2 times. In like new condition, but as we said, we did not test the boat. There is a title to go with the boat.
