Description

This is a vintage professional-grade worm drive circular saw manufactured by the Skil Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. The tool is identified on the manufacturer plate as Model 77, Type 15, and is labeled as a Super Duty Ball Bearing Saw. The saw is constructed with a die-cast metal housing, molded handles, and a heavy-duty three-prong electrical cord. The manufacturer label specifies a 13-amp motor, 4400 RPM, and 120 Volts DC-AC. The serial number is recorded as AA-613981. The unit is housed in a custom-built wooden storage chest featuring finger-jointed construction and brass-toned metal hinges and a bale handle. A circular label on the interior of the lid identifies the material as Formosan Beauty Cyma Sunrise Teak. The lot includes the saw unit, an attached 7 1/4-inch circular saw blade, and one additional loose circular blade.

Saw blade diameter: 7 1/4 inches.

Condition report:

The tool is in used condition consistent with regular professional use. The metal housing shows scattered surface scuffs, abrasions, and a light coating of sawdust. The electrical cord and plug appear intact without fraying. The wooden storage case is structurally sound but shows exterior surface wear, dust, and white paint scuffs on the corners. Metal hardware on the case shows light surface patina. The functional operation of the saw has not been tested. Seller kept all items in good working condition in this exceptional shop (where buyers will find a lot more during pick up appointments to purchase)!
