Description
This yacht binnacle is manufactured by W. Ludolph A.G. of Bremerhaven, Germany. The instrument is constructed of polished brass and features a tapered hood fitted with glass panels. The interior houses a gimballed dry-card compass. The interior rim of the compass housing is stamped with the maker name W. Ludolph A.G. and the serial number B 432. The compass card is printed with cardinal and intercardinal points in German, including N, S, O, and W. The unit stands on a circular flanged base with pre-drilled holes for deck mounting.

Condition report:
The binnacle is in good condition with a highly polished exterior finish. Minor surface dents are visible on the brass housing. The interior shows signs of oxidation. The compass card exhibits crazing and surface wear consistent with age and maritime use.
