Description
A pair of watercolor illustrations on textured paper by Marjet Schultz depicting couples in Victorian-era formal attire. One horizontal composition features a man with a mustache and a woman in a high-collared blue dress seated on a tufted red settee. The vertical companion piece shows a couple in winter garments, including a gentleman in a top hat and a lady in a fur stole with a decorative floral headpiece. Both artworks are housed in ornate, gold-toned composite frames with a classic scroll motif, featuring double matting under glass. Both pieces are signed MARJET SCHULTZ in the lower corners. The reverse of the vertical frame is stamped MADE IN ITALY 573. Both pieces are equipped with wire hangers for wall mounting.
Horizontal frame: 16 x 21 inches
Vertical frame: 20 x 16.5 inches.
Condition report:
The items are in good condition with minor wear to the gold-toned frame finish. A small tear is visible on the cardboard backing of one piece. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
