Description
This original oil painting by Randy Van Beek depicts a snow-capped mountain peak, identified as Mt. Rainier, under a cloud-filled sky. The composition features a foreground of rugged terrain with golden-brown grasses, rocks, and evergreen trees, executed in a style of traditional realism with Luminist influences. The work is signed and dated RANDY VAN BEEK 84 in the lower right corner. The painting is presented with a double mat in cream and brown tones and is housed within a molded wood frame under glass. An artist biography is attached to the reverse, providing information on the artist’s background in Washington State and his self-taught technique.
Frame measures approximately 23 inches in width.
Condition report:
The painting and matting appear to be in good condition. The molded wood frame shows minor surface wear consistent with age. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
