Description
This maritime print reproduction on canvas depicts the composition Eight Bells, after the work of Montague Dawson (1890-1973). The scene features a large sailing vessel with figures on deck navigating a turbulent sea, with a second masted ship visible on the horizon. The work is executed in a realist style with expressive brushwork. The canvas is mounted on a wooden stretcher frame with mitered corners and wooden keys. Commercial prints made from the original oils of the artist.

Condition report:
Fair condition. The canvas exhibits visible fraying along the edges and minor paint loss with scuffing at the corners. Light staining and discoloration are present on the reverse side of the canvas. The work is unframed. Art is from a clean smoke free home.
