Description
A Marantz Model 1060 solid-state integrated console stereo amplifier. The unit features a brushed aluminum faceplate with machined aluminum control knobs and a wood-grain veneer cabinet. The top of the cabinet includes a slotted metal ventilation panel and a small black label reading SEE MARKING ON BOTTOM. The faceplate is marked Model 1060 in cursive script, marantz in stylized lowercase lettering, and console Stereo amplifier. Control features include three-way tone adjustments for bass, mid, and treble, alongside balance and volume knobs. The input selector provides settings for phono, mic, tape, tuner, aux 1, and aux 2. Push-button controls are present for loudness, tape monitor, mono (L and R), low filter, hi filter, and speaker selection (main and remote). The front panel also contains two mic/aux 2 input jacks and a stereophones output jack. The item is accompanied by its original two-piece cardboard manufacturer box, which features the Marantz logo, the slogan WE SOUND BETTER, and a serrated paper serial number tag printed with 41539.
Condition report:
The aluminum faceplate shows minor surface wear and light oxidation consistent with age. The wood-grain cabinet exhibits visible surface scratches, scuffs, and dust accumulation. The original cardboard packaging shows significant wear, including staining, tears, and remnants of adhesive tape. This item is untested for functionality and is sold in as-is condition. At the time of our photos, this was plugged in and being used - it was quite dusty.
