Description
A Delta Model 17-900 radial arm floor-standing drill press featuring a cast iron head assembly mounted on a horizontal steel radial arm for adjustable throat depth and reach. The head is finished in textured industrial green paint with a black motor cover and the Delta logo. The unit is equipped with a three-spoke feed handle with black spherical grips and an integrated flexible neck work lamp. A metal identification plate on the side of the head assembly is marked Serial No: R 8845, Cat No: 17-900, Delta International Machinery Corp. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15238 U.S.A., UL Listed 37J2, and Made in Taiwan. A Rockler Woodworking and Hardware drill press speed chart is applied to the casing. The machine includes a large auxiliary woodworking table featuring a white laminate surface with integrated blue aluminum T-tracks and an adjustable aluminum fence system with black locking knobs. A black warning plate with the number 1310068 is mounted below the power switch.
Condition report:
The drill press is in well-maintained condition showing minor surface wear, light finish scuffs, and sawdust accumulation consistent with standard workshop use. The mechanical components and cast iron surfaces appear free of major rust or damage. The auxiliary table surface shows minor evidence of use. Seller describes all tools as in good working condition - he is a fine woodworker and kept everything in very nice working order.
