Description
This collection comprises nine art glass paperweights showcasing various glassmaking techniques. The group includes a clear glass paperweight by Imperial Glass USA with a cobalt blue base and white logo featuring a stylized wine glass, marked on the dome and with a base sticker. A deep cobalt blue spherical weight by The Bombay Company features controlled bubbles and a multicolored frit landscape base with a company label. A large clear commemorative weight includes multicolored frit and the text IN GOD WE TRUST, with a handwritten paper label on the ground base. The assembly also includes a millefiori dome weight with concentric multicolored canes, a lampwork floral weight with an orange bloom, three multicolored swirl spheres, a small green swirl weight, and a flattened pink and blue spiral ovoid weight.
Overall length: 15 inches. Largest pieces: 3 to 3.5 inches diameter. Medium pieces: 2 to 2.5 inches diameter. Smallest piece: 1.75 inches diameter.
Condition report:
The collection is in overall good vintage condition. Typical shelf wear and fine surface scratches are present on the bases. The commemorative piece base label is aged and stained. Internal stress fractures are visible in the lampwork floral inclusion. The Imperial Glass sticker shows some edge wear. No major exterior chips or cracks are noted.
