By registering to bid, placing a bid, or participating in any auction conducted by Rainier Estates, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions.
1. As-Is, Where-Is
All property is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with all faults and without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied.
Rainier Estates makes no representations or guarantees regarding condition, authenticity, age, provenance, materials, suitability for a specific purpose, or merchantability.
All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be issued.
2. Inspection & Due Diligence
We strongly encourage all bidders to attend the scheduled by appointment in-person preview prior to bidding.
Preview dates and times are posted within each auction.
We welcome written inquiries prior to the close of bidding and will respond to condition questions as promptly as possible. Additional photographs may be provided when feasible.
Descriptions, measurements, and condition notes are offered as a courtesy and represent our opinion only.
Failure to inspect does not relieve the bidder of responsibility.
Bidders are solely responsible for determining the value and condition of each item prior to placing a bid.
3. Registration & Bidding
All bidders must register prior to placing bids.
A buyer’s premium of ___% will be added to the final hammer price.
Applicable Washington State sales tax will be added unless a valid resale certificate is submitted prior to invoicing.
All bids are binding and may not be retracted.
Rainier Estates reserves the right to refuse or revoke bidding privileges at its discretion.
4. Payment Terms
Payment is due within 2 hours of auction close unless otherwise stated.
Accepted payment methods:
• Credit card on file
• Wire transfer for invoices exceeding $10,000
• Other approved methods as specified
Invoices not paid within the stated timeframe may result in:
• Cancellation of the sale
• Forfeiture of bidding privileges
• Assessment of additional fees
5. Pick-Up & Removal
All items must be removed during the scheduled pick-up window.
Buyers are responsible for bringing appropriate labor, packing materials, and transportation.
We can meet with shippers per appointment for those unable to pick up in person.
For small items, please check with us prior to bidding about shipping via UPS.
In most cases, Rainier Estates does not provide moving or loading services unless explicitly stated.
Items not removed within the designated timeframe may be considered abandoned and disposed of or resold without refund.
6. Shipping
Shipping is available only if stated in the auction listing.
Buyers are responsible for all shipping, handling, insurance, and related costs.
Rainier Estates is not responsible for damage incurred during shipping once items leave our custody.
7. Auctioneer’s Discretion
Rainier Estates reserves the right to:
• Withdraw or combine lots
• Correct catalog errors
• Extend bidding in the event of technical interruptions
• Resolve bidding disputes
The auctioneer’s decision shall be final.
8. Limitation of Liability
Rainier Estates shall not be liable for system outages, bidding platform errors, missed bids, or technical malfunctions.
Participation in the auction is at the bidder’s own risk.
