Description
Delta X5 series woodworking drum sander mounted on a steel leg stand and an integrated mobile base. The machine features an enclosed sanding drum under a hinged plastic dust hood with a 4-inch diameter dust collection port. Material is fed via a variable-speed conveyor belt, which is controlled by a dial located on the side-mounted power box. The power box also includes a large red safety paddle switch for off and on operations. Table height adjustment is achieved through a front-mounted manual handwheel with a calibration label indicating 1/4 turn equals 1/64 inch of travel. The unit is powered by a standard 120V electrical connection with a three-prong grounded plug. Markings include the Delta logo, an arrow for Table Up, and Caution Label 911956 regarding drum cover and dust collection safety. The machine is currently configured with a shop-made wooden support block resting on the conveyor table.
Condition report:
This equipment is in used condition and is heavily coated in sawdust and wood debris from prior shop use. The white painted leg stand and black mobile base show typical signs of wear, including minor paint scuffs, scratches, and dirt. The plastic dust hood has surface abrasions and dust buildup. The installed sanding belt is used and shows signs of wear and loading. The machine appears functional but is sold as is. Seller describes all tools as in good working condition - he is a fine woodworker and kept everything in very nice working order.
